Small Group Trips That Bring the World a Little Closer
Written By Travel Advisor, Megan Clark
I first discovered G Adventures a few years ago and was intrigued right away. Their itineraries span every continent, with a strong focus on immersive travel experiences that support local communities along the way.
This spring, I finally had the chance to experience traveling with them firsthand on our trip to Morocco. Morocco had been on my bucket list for quite awhile, but felt a little out of my comfort zone, so the idea of traveling with a group was appealing. My husband and I chose the Active Morocco: Northern Rif Mountains tour. This was a perfect fit for our love of hiking and active travel.
We spent nine days hiking beautiful mountain trails, soaking in the vibrant energy of ancient medinas, with unique experiences like traditional goat cheese making at a community co-op and baking bread with a mountain village family. As we moved around the country, we stayed at some charming, smaller hotels & traditional riads. At first, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about group travel, but our group of 14 quickly became friends as we shared such fun and unique experiences.
It was such a memorable mix of adventure and cultural connection — the kind of travel experience that stays with you long after you return home. I think all of us left excited about the possibility of another G adventures trip together in the future.
One thing I love about G Adventures is that they truly have a travel style for almost everyone:
Classic Tours: The perfect balance of must-see highlights, culture, free time, and authentic local experiences.
Geluxe Collection: Elevated small-group travel with upgraded accommodations, unique experiences, and a little extra comfort along the way.
Active Tours: Hiking, biking, kayaking, and other active adventures designed for travelers who like to keep moving.
National Geographic Journeys: Deeper cultural immersion and experiences created in partnership with National Geographic.
Family Tours: Fun, flexible itineraries designed for multi-generational travel and kid-friendly experiences.
Solo-ish Tours:Ideal for solo travelers who want connection and community without feeling like they’re traveling alone.
Marine Tours: Expedition-style adventures by water, from island hopping in Thailand, sailing the Croatian coast, to polar exploration in Antarctica.
Wellness Tours: Experiences focused on balance and well-being, often including yoga, nature, and relaxation.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos of our time in Morocco. If there is a destination you have been hoping to explore, I would bet G Adventures offers an amazing itinerary to help you experience it.
